OK, so now these next photos really got my adrenaline rushing! I was on my way out the door to go for a run when I just happened to look up the hill where the lake is in the neighborhood, there it was! ANOTHER Bald Eagle. How I saw him, I have no idea. It's almost like I've developed a 6th sense for these amazing birds. So, I IMMEDIATELY run in the house and grab the binoculars, just to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. So, I run back out with the binoculars, take a good luck and WHAMO! I'm in luck again today! I run back in the house, grab my camera, go running into the garage, grab my bike off the rack on the wall, jump on my bike and pedal off like a mad woman! The whole way there (about a half mile) I just keep repeating to myself, "Please don't leave, please don't leave, just stay right there, just please don't leave!" I had to ditch my bike because the bike trail was still full of snow and ice, so I carefully walk closer and closer to the tree where the Bald Eagle sat HIGH in the tree. The pictures will tell the rest of the story.

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it wasn't until I got home to upload the photos to my computer did I realize I had my camera in B&W mode! UGH! BUT, I still am amazed that I was this fortunate to get them. B&W's do tell great stories!
